WHITE OAK HOME OFFICE
Tucked away in the heart of Cold Spring, NY, this mountain house office was created as a calm, focused space for the gracious and lovely family that gets to call it home. We designed this particular space during the pandemic, when working via video chat became the new normal. It inspired us to consider both the layout and lighting in a new way. For example, we wanted the more traditional seated desk to face the window so our client would look her best on Zoom calls. We created a custom standing desk as well as a credenza to hide the printer, router, and other media components. The white oak paneling offers both a contemporary and natural feel, while the solid white oak waterfall desks highlight the closeness to nature that this remote property evokes. Overall, this unique office space was such a joy to create!
